#What I Wore

Hello, Everyone! And welcome back to this week’s installment of “What I Wore.” I cannot believe just how busy this week’s been-but a good kind of busy! And although it’s still not warm enough for daily sundresses, shorts, and tanks-I took full advantage of what I could since the sun’s been out!

This upcoming week, I am on spring break-and I’m looking forward to some much needed down time with my family, some extra time at the gym, and some retail therapy (which, of course, you will see the end result on here!).

I hope everyone is enjoying their last week of April (…already?)!

And as always, all looks (or similar) are linked for your shopping convenience!

Look #1: A little “Coachella” inspired look to start the week…

I purchased this bohemian-styled dress labor day weekend on clearance at H&M for $10…although this exact one isn’t for sale at the moment, they have a similar maxi that currently retails for $17.95

Grained Imitation Black Leather Handbag purchased from H&M for $39.99

Look #2: Comfy joggers, and my favorite animal print tank. The best part about joggers, you can dress them up or down with pumps, wedges, sneakers, or flip-flops…

wiw7

Giraffe, billowy racer tank purchased last spring from H&M for $12.99 Current style is linked (with elephants and spaghetti straps), for the same price

GAP Factory, Open-Front Cardigan in Orange…also purchased last weekend on sale for half off, plus an additional 10% with my GAP card. Total purchase was around $13. Linked is their current sale price, along with other available colors

Black drawstring Joggers purchased last year from GAP Factory on sale for around $20. Although they no longer have them in stock, I’ve linked Target’s Joggers, for $19.99, but you may also find them at almost any clothing store: Express, Victoria’s Secret, H&M, Forever 21, Top Shop, Macy’s, Charlotte Russe, JC Penney’s, etc…

Jessica Simpson white pumps purchased this week for $35.99 at my local Marshall’s. I swear by these shoes! I’ve never owned a pair by her brand, but they had the perfect length on the heel and I had no problems “running” around in these the first day I broke them in. Because I did purchase these at a discount store, meaning that there are no guarantees on the products they receive, I had to link her site with this season’s shoes (there are similar white pumps listed).

Look #3: Trying to find new ways to style this pleated skirt, and the ideas are endless…one rule though: make sure the shirt you choose isn’t too bulky. After all, the waist is elastic, and at times it can give off the appearance of a larger, bulkier  waistline…

Blue and White striped Oxford shirt by Lands End (thrifted from my local Salvation Army last year for around $6)

Pleated Mini Skirt (linen)-J.Crew Factory (last Spring-shop similar styles here) I was able to purchase this for $39.99 on sale…and currently, there is a variety of colors/patterns on sale for $35.50-$41.50

Women’s Tracey Quarter Strap Sandals purchased for $32.99 this past week at Target (P.S. They are by far, the most comfortable wedges I’ve ever purchased…never needed to break them in…no wonder why I wore them the rest of the week!)

Look #4: I’ve been on the fence about this dress since purchasing it last year, but I was able to breathe new life into it, by adding a belt and some new wedges…

1 wiw

Women’s GAP Factory Floral Dress purchased last spring on sale for around $25. Linked is their current dress line, with a few floral prints to choose from

Embroidered leather belt purchased last spring from GAP Factory for around $12. Similar styles linked from GAP, that feature the same braided look, but more variety with color and thickness

Women’s Tracey Quarter Strap Sandals purchased for $32.99 this past week at  Target (P.S. They are by far, the most comfortable wedges I’ve ever purchased…never needed to break them in…no wonder why I wore them the rest of the week!)

Look #5: I thought the Birthday girl should enjoy the day dressed comfortably in her favorite spring purchase: this army green utility vest…

5 wiw.

Ivory,  lace top by Cynthia Rowley purchased from Marshall’s for around $15 a few years back. Linked is Cythia Rowley’s current line (through Lord & Taylor), along with  a similar lace tank from Target currently retailing for $24.99

This Women’s Light-Weight Utility Vest was by far one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time! I can dress this up or down with jeans, leggings, skirt, or dare I say soon-to-be-be…shorts? Currently retails for $29.99 at Target

Women’s Rockstar Jeans also purchased last weekend at Old Navy for $34.94, and crrently on sale for $20. Not only were they affordable, they were soft, comfortable and the fabric had the perfect stretch without loosening up as the day goes on (one of my biggest pet peeves)

Women’s Tracey Quarter Strap Sandals purchased for $32.99 this past week at  Target (P.S. They are by far, the most comfortable wedges I’ve ever purchased…never needed to break them in…no wonder why I wore them the rest of the week!)

Look #6: Maybe it was a little too breezy for this look, but I was itching to break out the shorts for this beautiful, sunny Saturday…

I purchased this Kelly Green eyelet tank a few years back from  Gap Factory . Their current style is out of stock, but American Eagle Outfitters has a similar one, that would look great with a maxi

GAP Factory City Shorts, purchased a few ears back for under $15. Linked is there current colors and designs-VERY similar to these and they are all on sale for $12.97-21.99

My favorite pair of flip-flops that I purchased last spring on a whim for only $10! LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s “Pineapple” flip-flops. Every season she switches up the different color patterns and designs, but the comfortable and durable flip-flop itself, stays the same. Linked is her current line, on sale for $12.99, originally $19.99

Women’s Aviator Sunglasses purchased a few weeks back from Walmart for only $5.99!
