June Remix

Hello, Everyone! I hate to say it but I’m glad that the month of June has basically come and gone! As a teacher and mother, you can imagine what the end of the school year is like on both ends…for teachers it’s the stress of the end of the year reviews, finals, and paperwork to no avail. And on the other end, as a parent, you are making sure your children are finalizing all of their end of the year work, studying hard for exams, gift prepping for teachers and end-of-the-year parties, field trips, and above all else…making sure that they’re situated for fall, before you’re even handed that one final report card.

As I’ve stated quite a few times on Instagram, I’m always a bundle of nerves at the end of the year: I not only my son to do well,  but my students too…not to mention, this fall is going to be a huge milestone in my household. My baby boy is now the “Big Guy on Campus” as he enters the 8th grade, and my little one will be off to Pre-K…I’ve already reached for the Kleenex box on multiple occasions, just this week alone!

Anyway, with the culmination of the school year, comes the beginning of my favorite season of the year: summer. So with that, I am here to share my favorite summer looks from this month!

And as always…all looks (or similar) are linked for your purchasing convenience!

Look #1:

Women’s Woodstock Graphic High-Neck Tank for $12.99 at Target

Gap Factory Boyfriend Jeans currently on sale for $28.99, but retail for $59.99 (linked is there up-to-date style which I believe is much better than the pair I have, because they’re more distressed now) Sign up with Gap Factory, and receive a cheaper offer with their daily discounts

Last year’s  Lauren Conrad Women’s Flip-Flops in the “pineapple” print. Although this design is no longer, they have plenty of new prints, such as flamingo and floral (along with the basic colors) to choose from. Flip-flops are currently on sale at Kohl’s for $9.99. Retails for $19.99.

Look #2:

Found this soft, open-knit, tan duster/maxi vest on the clearance rack for around $12 at Macy’s a few weeks back. Although I could not link this exact one (which retailed for $49.99), I linked their current dusters (sleeveless and full sleeve) all currently on sale!

Junior’s Printed-Crotchet Tank Top purchased on sale for $15.99 (retails for $17.99). Found a similar top retailing for $24.99 at Target (I searched online for the same top, but could only find similar…you may have better luck in the stores)

Women’s Rockstar Jeans purchased  at Old Navy for $34.94. Not only were they affordable, they were soft, comfortable and the fabric had the perfect stretch without loosening up as the day goes on (one of my biggest pet peeves)

Look #7:

green dress duster

GAP Factory Easy Tee Dress purchased last month for the current sale price of $13.99. I have always been on the fence about “Tee” Dresses, because of the fit…but I loved the weathered, drapey look of this (and it’s a plus that it does not hang on to every curve of your body!). I linked the current line of tees that they have online. However, this olive green one was purchased in the store.

Found this soft, open-knit, tan duster/maxi vest on the clearance rack for around $12 at Macy’s a few weeks back. Although I could not link this exact one (which retailed for $49.99), I linked their current dusters (sleeveless and full sleeve) all currently on sale!
