Winter Wardrobe Round-Up

Hello, Everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy a relaxing Easter Weekend with friends and family. It was hard to believe how early Easter was this year (at least from my perspective), but now that it’s over, I feel as though it took winter away with it-which is fine by me, because I;’m ready to break out the lighter layers and soak in that much needed sun that I have been anticipating since we last put our clocks back an hour.

So for this week’s post on “What I Wore” I am sharing 10 of my favorite looks from Winter, as opposed to my weekly 5. The best part is, some of these can still be worn, or modified to go along with the light chill we’re probably going to experience as we head into April and all the showers this month usually bestows upon us.

So take a peek, and remember: all looks, or similar are linked for your shopping convenience!

Look #1:  Since I’m technically not sharing this week’s looks, I thought I would throw at least one outfit into the mix, for a little spring cheer…

Mustard yellow cardigan purchased a few months back at Walmart for under $9

Faded Glory Women’s  Woven Tank retails for $4.97 at Walmart. I fell in love with this silky-textured tank, that I purchased another one with a different print

The Limited skinny, dark denim jeans that I purchased the day after Christmas on sale for $28!!! Linked for your convenience, is their entire denim selection to help choose your style fit and wash

Women’s “Lainee” Pumps in Coral, recently purchased for $29.99 at Target

Look #2: “Sparkle and Shine”

I scored this vintage black and gold sequined shirt for $5 at my local Salvation Army a few month back. I had no idea where I was going to wear it, so it sat in my closet waiting for a day it would have a purpose-and it worked out well for my son’s school’s annual Christmas Concert!

Black Jeggings purchased Columbus Day Weekend at Gap Factory for 20% off (plus an additional coupon I had from shopping Labor Day Weekend) Regularly retail for $59.99. I can’t get enough of the comfortable, yet, not-too-stretchy of a fit.

Women’s Jennifer Pumps in Tan, purchased on clearance for $15 from Target (usually retails for $29.99, on sale -buy one get one half off)

Look #3: Sweater dress and blazer layering

IMG_7834

Blue and White striped Oxford shirt by Lands End (thrifted from my local Salvation Army last year)

Brow, Plaid Blazer with brown suede elbow patches purchased on sale for $30 from H&M‘s post-Christmas sale. I linked their current blazers, since this was no longer listed (but may still be in stores)

Navy blue, wool sweater dress purchased on sale for around $30 (retailed at $80), last winter at Ann Taylor Loft (linked many similar styles that are currently on sale at Loft)

Wool-Blend Grey Knee Socks purchased from H&M for $9.99

“Bear Paw” Brown Cowboy Boot purchased from The Shoe Dept a few years back for around $90 (boots are no longer available, but I linked the styles they currently sell)

Look #4:  Nothing says mixing neutrals, like adding a little camouflage to the mix

I feel like this outfit could be an advertisement for Target…see why

Grey, graphic tee, purchased on clearance for $3 at Target. Many were in stock in the clearance section, but the price I linked only reflects its current retail price of $12.99…my advice would be to browse the clearance section, as the store may not have updated their system with this recent drop in price.

Black Blazer purchased last year from Target for $27.99 and currently on sale for $19.58

Camoflage jeggings purchased last year, from Target for $27.99-no longer retailed, but I linked their leggings instead.

Thick, Brown Leather Belt (Purchased on sale at the GAP for $10 over 10 years ago…see why staples are important??!)

Women’s Jennifer Pumps in Tan, purchased on clearance for $15 from Target (usually retails for $29.99, on sale -buy one get one half off)

Look #5: Because these overalls just bring back a sense of nostalgia…and a perma-grin to my face!

Grey and White Signature tee by the Lou and Grey line for Ann Taylor Loft, purchased last year on sale for $25…no longer for sale, so I linked their signature tee’s with the same look-retail for $29.50, but are currently 40% off

GAP Factory “marled open-front Cardigan” purchased Columbus Day Weekend for $29.99, but usually retails for $59.99-I absolutely love how soft and versatile this cardigan is…I’ve been pretty much living in it on weekends, and even throwing it on to run out for errands, or to the gym! (I could not longer find this exact style on their website, so I linked their women’s sweater collection for similar styles)

Women’s denim overalls in (distressed) black, originally $34.99, purchased on clearance recently for $17 at Target. The website does not reflect the price that they were purchased for in the store…so check out your local Target (they also come in denim too)

Women’s Jennifer Pumps in Tan, purchased on clearance for $15 from Target (usually retails for $29.99, on sale -buy one get one half off)

 Look #6: Because I’m a sucker for blush pinks…

White blouse purchased a few years back from the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s Collection for around $20. Although this exact top is no longer in stock, I linked the tops in the line. What I love about shopping this brand at Kohl’s is that you’re getting a great quality brand that is not always on sale, but can be purchased at an even cheaper price if you sign up with Kohl’s to receive their additional savings

Pink Cardigan purchased on clearance for $10 from the Calvin Klein outlets an hour away from my home…what a steal! Although this is no longer available, I did link their similar cardigans. Linked are similar style and fabric cardigans for $12.99 from H&M

Gap Factory Boyfriend Jeans for around $30 on sale (shop similar style here)

Women’s Lainee Pumps in “Leopard”-purchased from Target for $29.99

Look #7: I have to admit-I stole this look from Pinterest. Awhile ago there was this one photo that caught my eye: the girl wore pretty much just about everything seen here, so I did my best to duplicate. So yes, I get inspired by what I see out and about too!

Women’s Drapey Modal Tee in Light Grey purchased for $12.99 at Target (highly recommended if you’re looking for a soft knit, yet slouchy style tee)

Women’s Gingham Favorite shirt (Black and White) purchased for only $22.99 at Target

Black Jeggings purchased Columbus Day Weekend at Gap Factory for 20% off (plus an additional coupon I had from shopping Labor Day Weekend) Regularly retail for $59.99.

Women’s Lainee Pumps in “Leopard”-purchased from Target for $29.99

Grained Imitation Black Leather Handbag purchased from H&M for $39.99

Look #8: Showing support for our working moms out there in this utility vest for “International Women’s Day” (March 8, 2016)

This racerback tank was recently purchased from Old Navy for $3. They are all originally priced between $12.94-14.94. Instead of linking this exact print, I linked their entire collection, because it’s endless and they’re all  perfect: the colors, styles and fit!

Navy and White Gingham Shirt-J. Crew Factory last fall on sale for $32-similar style linked and currently on sale for $34.50

This Women’s LIght-Weight Utility Vest was by far one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time! I can dress this up or down with jeans, leggings, skirt, or dare I say soon-to-be-be…shorts? Currently retails for $29.99 at Target

Women’s Rockstar Jeans also purchased recently at Old Navy for $34.94. Currently on sale for $29.99. These are soft, comfortable and the fabric has the perfect stretch without loosening up as the day goes on (one of my biggest pet peeves)

Women’s Jennifer Pumps in Tan, purchased on clearance for $15 from Target (usually retails for $29.99, on sale -buy one get one half off)

Look #9: Cozy and Casual for our record breaking 70 degree day in early March!

IMG_9213

This Old Navy tank was purchased on sale for $3 a few weeks back. This pattern features black and white stripes. All tanks are originally priced between $12.94-14.94. Instead of linking this exact pattern, I linked their entire collection, because it’s endless and they’re all  perfect: the colors, styles and fit!

GAP Factory neon green cardigan purchased a few springs back on sale for around $15 (usually marked around $40). This color is no longer in stock, but I lined their endless selection (which are all, also currently on sale)

Black drawstring Joggers purchased last year from GAP Factory on sale for around $20. Although they no longer have them in stock, I’ve linked Target’s Joggers, for $19.99, but you may also find them at almost any clothing store: Express, Victoria’s Secret, H&M, Forever 21, Top Shop, Macy’s, Charlotte Russe, JC Penney’s, etc…

Women’s Lainee Pumps in “Leopard”-purchased from Target for $29.99 (Currently on sale: buy one get one for 50% off)

Look #10: A little St. Patty’s Day Inspiration

IMG_9427

Chaps Pink and White striped button-down oxford purchased for around $5 at a local thrift store a few years back (similar shirt from L.L.Bean for under $40 is linked, because they’re great quality, and if anything ever goes wrong, they will replace it or give you store credit)

This jacket pretty much gets use once a year, and that is for St. Patty’s Day…and after styling it for this holiday season, I can’t understand why I don’t wear it more often! Green and white houndstooth blazer was purchased on clearance from Old Navy over 10 years ago, for under $10. Obviously, they no longer have it, so I linked Old Navy’s blazer line
