What I Wore (Week #16)

Happy lazy Sunday, Everyone! Although it’s never easy getting back into the work routine, especially after the holidays…jumping into Monday morning, became much easier when I had the opportunity to coordinate new outfit ideas based off of some of my favorite after-Christmas shopping steals…take a peek at some of what this year’s sales from some of my favorite stores, had to offer!

Look #1: Bringing the 70’s (or should I say the 90’s) back, with a little flare…

Red, White and Blue Flannel Shirt purchased from H&M for 24.99

Honeycomb cable-knit Cardigan: purchased for half-off the sale price of $49.99, during the post-holiday sales…so the total cost for this ivory knit cardigan was only $25!! It is still currently on sale for $49.99

1969 Resolution Vintage Destructed Flares: Purchased on sale for $24.99, but with the after-Christmas sale, all sale items were half off, so I paid around $13 for these!! (Helpful hint: depending on the “wash” of the denim, prices may fluctuate)

Look #2: Navy: my new best friend

Nautical Boat Neck Cotton Shirt, purchased last winter on clearance for $10 (similar styles linked and I’ve also seen them in Target in navy and black and white)

Old Navy’s Mixed-Fabric Frost Free Vest in Navy-retails for $39.94, purchased on sale after discount of $25 plus another 20% off, due to their “After Christmas” sale

Grey, Wool, Pleated Mini Skit (with cinched waist and pockets…): J. Crew, but purchased from Poshmark for $27 pre-loved, but in perfect condition (usually retails for around $80)

Scarf:purchased from H&M last fall-Priced regularly at $12.99-CURRENTLY ON SALE FOR $6.99!!

Women’s Navy Blue, Ribbed Opaque tights from Target for around $8 (Currently on sale from $4-$8)

“Bear Paw” Brown Cowboy Boot purchased from The Shoe Dept a few years back for around $90 (boots are no longer available, but I linked the styles they currently sell)

Look #3: Denim and furrrr

Chambray Utility Dress from GAP: Was on sale for $29.99, but received 50% off from their post-holiday sale. Total cost=$15.00

Faux Fur Vest purchased last winter at Target for $34.99. Although the exact style is no longer sold, they sell multiple ones with the similar look (linked), for the same price.

Wool-Blend Grey Knee Socks purchased this week from H&M for $9.99

Look #4: Plaid blazers, polka dots and booties

Navy blue and white polka dot button-down (non-iron) shirt on sale for $69.99 at Banana Republic Factory Store last year (similar styles are still for sale)

Brow, Plaid Blazer with brown suede elbow patches purchased on sale for $30 from H&M‘s post-Christmas sale. I linked their current blazers, since this was no longer listed (but may still be in stores)

Ivory, wool socks recently purchased from Target for $9.99

Madden Girl Jackmen Women’s Booties purchased on sale for $35 a few weeks back from Kohl’s (retailed at $59.99). Better steal this week-Now you can purchase them on sale for $29.99 The bonus is, they also come in ivory and red buffalo plaid

Look #5: Casual Friday

French Terry Zip-Hoodie in Heather Grey purchased from the GAP  the day after Christmas…another steal…retails for $39.95, was on sale for $29.99, but everything on sale at the GAP has been 50% off, so I only paid $15 for the most comfortable sweatshirt EVER! Currently on sale for $24.99

Love, love, love this H&M fuzzy, black white and grey blazer purchased on sale for $15 the day after Christmas!! (I could not find the blazer online, so I linked their blazer selection)

Nike FS Lite Run 3 Women’s purchased from Kohl’s this week: Retail for $75, but were on sale for $65. Used Kohl’s cash, plus an additional 15% from signing up to receive discounts through email. Total cost=$38!!
